Nancy cancels UAE show amid pregnancy rumours

Amid reports that she is pregnant, popular Arabic singer Nancy Ajram has pulled out an Abu Dhabi show next week, leaving fans across the UAE disappointed.

Organisers Flash Entertainment said in a media statement that the singer would not be performing at a previously announced Beats on the Beach event on November 12.

“Nancy Ajram was very excited about performing in front of her thousands of fans in Abu Dhabi but sadly, unavoidable personal matters have given her no choice but to cancel all her scheduled shows up until November 15,” the statement said.

Flash said the event would go ahead as scheduled, with Lebanese bombshell Haifa Wehbe performing at the event instead.

No further information on the nature of Ajram’s personal troubles was available, but the cancellation has fuelled Arabic media reports that the singer is expecting her second child.

News that she shot three videos for her September album “7”, including two that are yet to be released, prompted the speculation.

A notice on the singer’s website indicated she would perform at a November 20 show in the Netherlands.

Ajram, who spends a large part of the year in Dubai, has sold over 30 million albums.
