Priyanka Chopra to be Meghan Markle's maid of honour?

Meghan Markle reportedly wants her close friend Priyanka Chopra to be her maid of honour when she ties the knot with Prince Harry.

The 'Suits' actress is reportedly set to announce her engagement to Prince Harry shortly and is said to want her close pal to be by her side when she does tie the knot.

Of maid of honour duties, a source said: "She plans to ask her best friend Priyanka Chopra."

And Prince George and Princess Charlotte - the children of Prince Harry's brother Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine - are set to heavily feature in the big day.

The insider added: "Harry adores his niece and nephew and so does Meghan."

However, Harry has reportedly set his sights on a quiet wedding.

The source told Life & Style Weekly magazine: "The last thing he wants to do was walk up the aisle of Westminster Abbey or St. Paul's Cathedral with millions of people watching. It's not like Harry's ever going to be king."

Meanwhile, actress Priyanka previously criticised the portrayal of her friend Meghan as she knows there is so much more to the actress than just being Prince Harry's girlfriend.

She shared: "I don't if I will get into trouble for this, but I have an opinion. I mean, she's on the cover of Vanity Fair. It would have been nice to write about her not just her boyfriend. I'm just saying. I mean, she's an actor, she's an activist, she's a philanthropist. I mean, she does so much more. It's just a little sexist. Look, I'm a feminist and I love boys, okay ... The only thing I'm saying is that there needs to be a certain sense of equality where a woman is not just a plus one, you know. It's nice to be your own identity to."
