Priyanka fans shocked by Baywatch trailer

The Baywatch trailer is out and Priyanka Chopra fans are in for a horrible shock. Chopra is not seen for more than a split second in a two-minute trailer starring Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario and Zac Efron.

While a lot of other actors have lines to mouth as well, there is just one shot of Priyanka walking towards camera with Johnson masquerading as a chef and Efron dressed as a woman look on as the clock strikes 1:34 in the 1:59 minute trailer of the film directed by Seth Gordon of Horrible Bosses fame.

While Priyanka had a superb role in the CBS TV series Quantico where she essayed the pivotal role of Alex Parish, the blink-and-you-miss-her role of the former Miss Universe in the trailer is not being received well.

Priyanka plays a negative role in Baywatch. “The role I am doing was initially written for a man,” she had told us earlier.

Baywatch is a remake of a TV show of the same name initially made in the year 1989.

Interestingly the PR machinery of Deepika Padukone is amused and are sharpening their claws. Deepika also makes her debut around the same time a few months before Priyanka does in Hollywood. Deepika will be seen with Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage which releases worldwide next month. Deepika has a sizable chunk in the 2:24 minute trailer of xXx where she is being also seen in more or less a negative character.

Anyway Baywatch is slated to release in May 2017 in the US.
