Rajinikanth sings to woo Deepika

Superstar Rajinikanth has now done it all - latest he turns singer for his next movie 'Kochadaiyaan'.

Rajini will lend his voice as playback singer in his upcoming 3D biggie, opposite Deepika Padukone. Both stars are upbeat to work with Rajini's daughter Soundarya as she makes her directorial venture.

Following the footsteps of son –in- law Dhanush and taking the advice of daughter Soundarya the talented actor has agreed to sing which is composed by Bollywood's Oscar-winner maestro AR Rahman.

It took some convincing by Rahman and the superstar's daughter Soundarya.

Rajinikanth has rendered his voice in a song earlier in the movie “Mannan” but that was way back in 1992. Superstar has sung a duet along with playback singer S Janaki for P Vasu directed movie “Mannan”. Now, twenty years later, the Superstar has been persuaded to sing for his film, according to reports.

Soundarya Rajinikanth who thought that his father’s voice would impact more the crucial scene of the movie went with this idea.

It has been written by Vairamuthu, considered to be one of the top lyricists in Tamil cinema.

Rajinikanth is now getting ready to face the camera as the shooting is to start on March 21st in London. Director Soundarya Rajini is upbeat as all the arrangements have been made.

The movie has been the centre of discussion from the time it has come into making.

Kochadaiyaan is written by KS Ravikumar and directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. Planned to be shot entirely in 3D motion capturing technique, 'Kochadaiyaan' is also a short term project, likely to be released in the month of August.

Kochadaiyaan is a story of a prince who is the devotee of Lord Shiva.
