Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu had problem with his girlfriend - Deepika?

It is an open secret that Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Kapoor did not approve of his girlfriend Deepika Padukone.

Ranbir may deny that his mother was not the reason behind his split with the actress, but the industry was well aware of the influence.

Now the veteran actress has come out in the open to speak about how she used to get angry with Ranbir's one particular girlfriend, indirectly pointing fingers at Deepika Padukone.

Neetu Kapoor who claims to have never intervened in his son's life as far has his love life is concerned now admits that she had a problem with a certain ex-girlfriend of Ranbir.

Talking to a leading tabloid, she said, "I used to get angry with a certain girlfriend when he was entering movies, as he would not sleep well. I knew from experience that an actor has to have good sleep to look fresh."

We all know, Ranbir Kapoor during his early days with 'Saawariya' was dating Deepika Padukone. The duo shared great chemistry and was in love for almost two years before they broke up.

So if Neetu is talking about a certain girlfriend who irked her during Ranbir's initial days there's no point for guessing who she is talking about.

It has been a long while since Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone parted ways to pursue separate paths ever since their much-publicised break-up.

While promoting 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' Ranbir tried to defend his mother. "It's an issue between two individuals, but people work on several theories and then disturb things. My mother loves me a lot and wants me to live my own life. My mother is also very fond of Deepika. So, at least this was not the reason for the split. I want to clarify, my mother was not the reason for the break-up," Ranbir said on Rajat Sharma's TV show 'Aap Ki Adalat'.

But every time Neetu is asked the question about her son's break-up she is more open about her reaction.

Few years ago, Neetu appeared on the 'Meet the Parent' section of Simi Garewal's show 'India's Most Desirable' and said, "If their relationship (Deepika and Ranbir's) was perfect, they wouldn't have broken up. Ranbir was probably not himself in the relationship."

Wonder what Neetu’s take is on Ranbir's night-out with current girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The actor is spending sleepless nights not just due to his late night rendezvous but the interest of paparazzi in his love-life.
