Salman Khan says his formula films won't last for long

Superstar Salman Khan and masala films have become quite synonymous in the past few years.

He single-handedly revived mass entertainers films like 'Wanted', 'Ready' and 'Dabangg', but now feels that this formula might die soon as it is now being overdone.

A new wave of action-masala entertainers was created by Salman and choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva with Wanted in 2009.

The film earned over Rs 160 crore (INR) and changed things for the 47-year-old in the industry after a low phase.

Salman's 'Ready', 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguard', 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dabangg 2' made him one of the most favoured and bankable stars in Bollywood.

Talking to a news agency in India the actor says everybody has overdone it, so much so that it might die away. These kinds of films are popular but the creativity is becoming less. Since the same formula is begin repeated in every second film the genre will die it's natural death.

At the moment Salman has an interesting range of films in his kitty including 'Jai Ho' directed by his brother Sohail Khan, 'Kick' by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sooraj Barjatya's next and Prabhu Deva's next.

According to him, 'Jai Ho' (previously titled 'Mental') will be a different kind of film altogether which has all the necessary dose of drama, emotion and action.
