Salman out! Katrina in! Kesari update!

Akshay Kumar confirms that Salman Khan is out of Kesari. When Karan Johar announced the film Kesari with Akshay Kumar, there was no Salman Khan name attached to it.

“Yes, he was part of it, but not now,” confirms Akshay Kumar, making it clear that Salman has nothing to do with the film anymore.

We were the first to tell you that Salman Khan had fallen out with Akshay Kumar because he was not informed that Ajay Devgn was making a film on the same subject and his managers also did not communicate the same to him. Salman thus dropped out of the project and also changed his manager.

Now Akshay says he starts work immediately on Kesari. “We start work on Kesari in January.  But we will start continuous shooting will be after the release of Padman,” confirms Akshay.

Kesari, on the battle of Saragarhi, is being directed by Anurag Singh. Akshay however has not confirmed who the heroine of the film is though Katrina Kaif and Parineeti Chopra’s name have been tossed up. But a recent confirmation from Katrina Kaif that she is starting work on her next film in January raises an eyebrow for sure.

After the release of Tiger Zinda Hai, I will be taking a few days to celebrate Christmas and New Year and then I get back to work. I will resume shooting for my two new films. We resume shooting for Aanand L Rai’s film in Feburary. Aanand is wonderful and loving as a director. He makes his actors feel that they are the most important people. He gives you so much space and it was a pleasure working with him in the last schedule,” she says.
