Selena to celebrate birthday without Bieber

Selena Gomez is set to have a "pretty boring" 19th birthday without her boyfriend Justin Bieber on Friday.

The singer-and-actress revealed she is going to be rehearsing for her forthcoming US tour on her big day, as well as having a meal with her family that will not include the 'Baby' singer because he will be working in Atlanta.

She said: "I think my mom has planned something for me. I didn't really ask for anything, so I'm basically just going to be at tour rehearsal during the day. Maybe go to dinner at night with my family. Pretty boring."

When asked if Justin will be by her side, she told E!: "I actually think he'll be in Atlanta. But that's OK. We all gotta work."

Selena - who has been dating the 17-year-old pop superstar for several months - will start her North American tour in California on Sunday and she is "excited" to kick-off her performances because they will see her dancing "for the first time".

She added: "I'm excited because I don't think my fans or anyone in general has actually seen me this way. I'm going to have dancers. I'm going to be dancing for the first time. It's going to be really fun. It's going to be a different kind of show."
