Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan came well suited to wish his friend and filmmaker Karan Johar on his birthday. He had his wife Gauri Khan on one hand and a lit cigarette on the other.

It just shows SRK hasn't learnt his lessons and will continue smoking in public.

Last month the actor was summoned by a court in the state of Rajasthan (India) for smoking in public. He has now pleaded guilty for the offence.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team owner sought exemption from personal appearance in a Jaipur court and expressed willingness to pay the fine.

The actor is willing to pay the fine, escape making court appearance but not willing to stop smoking in public.

Friday he happily went puffing around the town and Saturday SRK pleaded guilty for the same offence. Well, he can say in his defense that smoking publicly in Mumbai is not a crime.

In Rajasthan smoking publicly has been banned since 2000.

Shah Rukh Khan was asked to appear before the court on May 26 in connection with a complaint filed against him for publicly smoking at a Stadium during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

Photo evidence and television footage show that SRK was smoking publicly while watching a match between Rajasthan Royals and his team Kolkata Knight Riders on April 8, reports Hindustan Times.

The court exempted Shah Rukh from personal attendance and fixed June 21 as the next date of hearing. He is not required to be present for the next hearing.

The lawyer who filed the complaint also said that every spectator was frisked before being allowed inside the stadium. Any objectionable item was confiscated including cigarette and lighter. He pointed out that it was laxity on the part of Rajasthan police who did not bother to frisk the actor properly.

There has been no statement on behalf of Shah Rukh Khan yet.
