Shah Rukh Khan: I don't have the guts to do what Deepika Padukone did

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone lashed out at a leading Indian daily newspaper for objectification of her body by tweeting about her cleavage. Bollywood stars and other celebs have stood in support of the 'Finding Fanny' actress and praised her courage to speak out.

Now superstar and Deepika's co-star Shah Rukh Khan lauds her courage to take on the powerful media house on social-networking site.

SRK said Deepika is very gutsy to take such a stand.

On Monday the entire team of 'Happy New Year' was present at the music launch of their movie and the press what a reaction from Deepika.

She said: "I think I have said whatever I had to and everything else will be taken care of."

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh praised her and said: "What she said was wonderful. We don't have the guts to do what she has done, but we believe in it and we support it."

"We should respect the individuality and the job we do. What she did was fantastic and it would be stupid of us to talk about that. We stand by her. All of us have to stand by her, but we should not trivialise it and make it a part of conversation."

On Sunday, Deepika reacted to the photo titled 'OMG: Deepika Padukone's Cleavage Show'.

After seeing the pictures, she tweeted: "YES! I am a Woman. I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!??"

A lot of celebrities backed the actress.

Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma spoke for Deepika on Twitter.
