Shah Rukh Khan is perhaps one actor who ranks among the top celebrities with a huge fan base. He is the very man for whom his fans wait for hours together to catch a glimpse, be it in India or even abroad here in the United Arab Emirates.

Shah Rukh Khan played a superstar in his home production film 'Billu'  to his fan played by Irrfan Khan who was also seen in the eponymous role in the film.

And now SRK is all set to live the life of his fans as he himself plays a fan in the Manish Sharma directed film 'Fan'.

SRK plays a die-hard fan of a superstar and he says that this film is something that he would like to dedicate to all his fans.

“For me Fan is like a family film. My fans are so good to me that they have become family. This is a family I did not have,” says King Khan.

Life comes a full circle for Khan in reel life, as he once idolized other stars in his childhood and youth.

“I am for the first time playing someone who made me what I am,” philosophises the actor, clearly emphasizing in as many words as to what got him play the role in the first place.

SRK is also going the Aamir Khan way now, clearly looking at prosthetic and other make up options to get his look right for the film produced by Yash Raj Films.

Oscar winning makeup artist Greg Cannom has been roped in for the film which will present Shah Rukh Khan in a way that he has never seen before.

That’s King Khan taking the perfectionist route after being happy earlier just being the populist star.

Ostensibly, Shah Rukh is visibly pleased with the crazy fan following that he has.

“Most of the times, “it’s like ‘Oh God’ to be Shah Rukh Khan! I thank God for giving me this life and i hope everybody gets this life. I think it’s such a beautiful life and I would love to live this life again and again because of the love I get. I cannot think of any other way to live,” asserts Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan whose career chugged back onto the track after the superfast success of his film 'Chennai Express', feels that he has his responsibilities towards his fan following and regards them as an inspiration in themselves.

“I feel that there are a lot of people, children and adults as well who do not like me just because I am a movie star. They also feel that I may have done something good or right in my life. They do not stand outside my house wishing me good just like that. I feel responsible and want to justify their actions,” signs off Khan.
