Director Rohit Shetty (of “Golmaal” fame) is gearing up to work with Shah Rukh Khan now. Shetty approached UTV Motion Pictures with the idea to remake the yesteryear classic, “Angoor”, which starred the late Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in a comedy of errors.

After UTV bought the rights of the film, Shetty zeroed in on Shah Rukh Khan to essay Kumar’s role.

“Yes, I did propose the idea to Shah Rukh Khan,” says Shetty.“We are scripting the film and I will go to him once the script is ready and if Shah Rukh likes it, we will make the film with him.”

Shetty already has his hands full with the release of his Ajay Devgn starrer film “Singham” in July, followed by the shooting his next film “Bol Bachchan” in Au¬gust. When will “Angoor” see light of day is anybody’s guess.
