Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan will undergo a shoulder surgery today in Mumbai at the Lilavati hospital.

The actor was scheduled to treat his shoulder injury in London, but has decided to carry on with the much-needed surgery in Mumbai.

SRK suffered his muscle tear in his right shoulder while shooting an action scene in his upcoming movie 'Chennai Express'.

Report suggests his muscle tear used to cause the bone to spur up. The situation used to aggravated when SRK did action and dance sequences.

SRK has been shooting for a lot of high-octane action sequences for ‘Chennai Express’ which has worsened his condition.

His left shoulder is already weak as he had a minimally invasive surgery a couple of years ago.

After the surgery Shah Rukh will be at the hospital for a couple of days and then will recuperate at home for a month.

Post-surgery Shah Rukh Khan is expected to join the 'Chennai Express' team for on-ground promotional activities by mid-June.

The actor wanted to complete ‘Chennai Express’ with Deepika Padukone so that he would take care of his shoulder problem.

Even the sixth season of Indian Premier League was keeping the Kolkata Knight Rider’s owner extremely tied up.
