Sonam Kapoor in an interview at Cannes called Katrina Kaif 'shameless'. She said that one needs a certain kind of commitment and shamelessness to do things the way Katrina Kaif does.

In an interview to Anupama Chopra sonam said, "I would like to give Katrina a bouquet of flowers." When asked why, Sonam said: "I don't know how she does that. You need a certain kind of commitment and a certain kind of shamelessness to do certain things. You get that may be with stardom or with confidence in your talent or with who you are as a person. I need to develop that before I do films like that."

Now Sonam has backtracked from her comment. She retorted on the social networking site, saying that the news of 'Sonam calling Katrina shameless' is completely baseless. She says that her quotes are totally misinterpreted by the media.

The actor tweeted on the social networking portal, ''I'm so over being misinterpreted.. How can some select media take a compliment made to someone and make it into a controversy...''

Sonam clearly swallows her own words or is she now trying to do some patch work on her spoilt art of speech.

She was captured on camera calling Katrina 'shameless' now she says media has misinterpreted her.

Right Sonam media always catches you on the wrong foot or rather points out what a perfect example you are of a 'foot in mouth' syndrome.

When it comes to Sonam's infamously outspoken attitude this incident is nothing new.

Sonam Kapoor has made it to the headlines more for her outspokenness and her style statement then her acting prowess.

If Sonam is criticizing Katrina for being an eye-candy in movies, Sonam should watch out what she says as she will be doing exactly that in her next 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' opposite Farhan Akhtar. She hardly has any substantial role to play in that movie besides being a side kick for Farhan.

Katrina is doing films with all three Khans of Tinsel Town. She has Yash Chopra's untitled film opposite Shah Rukh Khan, 'Ek Tha Tiger' with Salman Khan and 'Dhoom 3' with Aamir Khan.

Sonam should think twice before talking rather than making clarifications on social networking sites and hoping it to be the coolest explanation for her verbal faux pas.
