Beauty soap brand, Lux, has roped in actress Sonam Kapoor as their new brand ambassador along with 'Raanjhanaa' co-star Dhanush.

But we wonder if the bath-tub is soon going to turn into a war zone of celebrity endorsements.

Circa 2009 Sonam made a break-through into the advert world when she was made the "young face" of international brand L'Oreal, which was exclusively under Aishwarya Rai's belt till then.

Sonam was overjoyed to represent the brand, she went on gushing and that's when she dropped the bomb - calling Ash "Aunty". Thus unleashing the ire of a senior actor. Aishwarya, in turn hit back by referring to Sonam as 'Just another junior artiste'.

Ash was not too happy when she learnt that Sonam would be by her side on the red carpet in Cannes Film Festival. She reportedly raised the issue with L’Oreal and made a big fuss.

She put her foot down and insisted that as per her deal with the company, she was the only Indian representative of the brand internationally while Sonam is to promote L’Oreal in India only.

Excited Sonam’s dream of international glory was crushed.

Since then things have changed and Sonam is now a regular fixture at Cannes along with Aishwarya (they never walk the red carpet together).

She has also put a check on her tongue; this year before the Cannes she called Ash one of the most beautiful women in the world from whom she would love to take advice.

Sonam is always full of lovable quotes!

The actress never disappoints her fans when it comes to fashion. Living up to the tag of fashionista, the dazzling beauty experiments with her looks every time and look nothing less than 'wow'.

Now post 'Raanjhanaa' success, Sonam is all set to become a film star - that's what the tagline of Lux soap suggests - "the beauty bar of film stars".

Lux derived from the word luxury has always used successful film actors of the time such as Madhubala, Hema Malini, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai to endorse their product.

But now it's time for a "young face"!

As the world moves to a more metrosexual avatar, this famous soap that started off as a feminine product and beauty soap in 1925 has decided to be brave once again (after taking onboard Shah Rukh Khan) and roped in the Kolaveri lad Dhanush along with Sonam Kapoor to endorse the soap.

The last faces of Lux have been Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif - as couples in the television advertisement that aired post their pairing in Yash Raj's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

Earlier, Lux soap had Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan as the brand couple. And now, with Sonam Kapoor replacing Aishwarya Rai here as well, it seems like this young thing is taking over the endorsement market from the seniors.
