From being a pornstar, to becoming a ‘Bigg Boss’ inmate to turning an actress for Hindi cinema. We believe it must have been quite a journey for Sunny Leone. Not an easy one though. She says, “The journey has been everything and above. Each day on set is different because you are never shooting the same thing twice. Each scene requires different emotions and yes at the end of the day I eat my dinner and usually fall asleep. I feel bad for not socialising as much as I want to but as Pooja has taught me "Be selfish for your shot" which falls in every aspect of my day and that sometimes means not hanging out and going to bed early.  I believe in my gut and heart that this movie will be a success. For me it already is and I look forward to seeing the finished project. Everyone on the set has worked really hard.”

Right from working on her Hindi to getting that perfect body, Sunny has put her heart and soul into her debut film, ‘Jism 2’, which is her only priority at the moment. Her director and the producer of the film, Pooja Bhatt is known to be a tough taskmaster. Ask Sunnyher experience working with Pooja, and she’s all praise for this actor-turned-director. “She leaves no detail unturned and as time has gone by I really understand why she says what she does. It all makes sense. I have never been in front of a camera as much as in this movie at one time. She has taught me a lot about who I am and what I want to achieve. I feel like I have grown up really fast on this set and she has definitely shown me the ropes in the right direction.”

But ask Sunny if she was actually nervous while pulling off love making scenes, and she laughs and explains, “Every shot was planned out and had to be done a certain way and if not done the way expected it had to be shot again.”

Sunny has no formal acting training. In an industry brimming with competition, and the race for the number one spot, we wonder if she’d be able to survive, just on the basis of being bold. “‘Jism 2’ isn’t just about that. Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt are so good at what they do. They explain everything to you and make you feel exactly what you should for the shot,” says the actress, and as an afterthought, she adds, “You know, to be honest, I dont really think of competition. I have always believed that there is enough work for everyone. I am new on the block and would never compare myself to any veteran in Bollywood. They worked hard to get where they are and I am working hard to get to where I want to be.”

While the film promises oodles of passion, romance, and steaming hot chemistry, we wonder what’s Sunny’s equation with her co-stars Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh, off the camera. She says, “Randeep is always very serious so it’s hard to get to know him but he's very good in the role he was given and very experienced in these dark roles. Arunoday brings a lot to the table and him and I always work as a team to get the shot done right and at the same time always have fun.”

This is an industry, where an actor could get stereotyped easily, and then, it’s only difficult to break that mould. Quiz Sunny if she fear being type-casted as a bold actress, and losing out on ‘family’ films and she quips, “I can’t predict the future and if it’s not meant to be then I am not going to worry about it.”

She has men go gaga over her, with a body worth drooling for. What’s her fitness mantra? She smiles, “Before I start working on this movie I would work out everyday and try to gear my body up maintaining a certain look I wanted. I was eating fairly healthy but I was in the gym all the time. Now I try to little exercises when I can to try and not lose all the muscle I had built. It’s very hard to eat good and workout on set but if I do little things for 10-20min a day I feel it’s helping me maintain. Butt-ups, crunches, leg raises, push ups, and step ups, really make all the difference in the world,” concludes the seductress.

For now, ‘Jism 2’ has been wrapped up in Sri Lanka and Sunny shall be going back home. She’ll be in Mumbai again, while the release of the film nears and the promotions kickstart.
