It would appear Doha’s loss is Dubai’s gain, at least where Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is concerned.

After her March 11 ‘Mega Bollywood Night’ was called off last minute by the Qatari authorities, Leone is now headed for Dubai for the launch of a new club night at Al Murooj Rotana Hotel this Friday.

Infinity Club’s ‘Tantra’ night will feature the former adult star as its official celebrity guest, with Dubai’s resident DJ Shadow taking to the decks.

Leone, who was last seen in a new anti-smoking campaign on YouTube with actors Alok Nath and comedian Deepak Dobriyal starring with her in ’11 minutes’, will appear in the feature film ‘One Night Stand’ that is slated to release in April.

The actress was in the press after a Bollywood event in Doha featuring Leone was called off after authorities reportedly raised an objection.

The ‘Mega Bollywood Night’ was scheduled for March 11, which was also to feature comedian Sunil Pal, along with pop star Himal and Nirmal Tarang.

In a Facebook post at the time, organisers Arunvalley Entertainement posted: “We regret to inform you that this event is cancelled due to sum unfortunate reasons by the authorities.

“We promise you to come back with an extravaganza, which will take you to the next level of entertainment. Stay tuned.”

The organisers have also cited everyone who purchased the tickets will get full refunds.

The incident is not the first time a Leone concert event has been cancelled last minute.

Back in 2013, a caged act in a nightclub in Dubai was called off, with Leone tweeting at the time: “Due to last minute permissions issues, my event was postponed.

However, she made an appearance in the emirate a few months later for another event.
