Sunny Leone teams up with 'sanskari' Alok Nath [video]

Turns out former adult star Sunny Leone isn’t just about stirring controversies or massive box-office numbers, but also a pretty good teacher.

Yes, you heard right. Her recent short for an anti-smoking campaign has won astounding applause.

She, along with Bollywood funnyman Deepak Dobriyal and ‘sanskari’ Alok Nath, have joined forces to unleash one of the most impactful anti-smoking campaign ever.

Director Vibhu Puri, who cleverly cashes in on Sunny’s controversial image, weaves in a story that could resonate with many men folk. Probably why it’s already a rage on the social media networks, with one of the many YouTube link raking in over 4 million views within a few weeks.

At four-minutes-and-thirty-nine-seconds, the movie is sharp, and ties in humour and facts quite impressively.

Set in a rustic land, a young chain-smoker is told he has just a few more days to live. A disturbed father decides to gift him his last wish, which to his embarrassment is to meet Sunny Leone.

The father reluctantly gives in, and brings home the adult star. The meeting is crucially exciting, but cut short abruptly with the death of the chain-smoker, and a message: “Every cigarette kills 11 minutes of your life. Think before you smoke the next one. It can cost you your last wish.”

While unveiling the video, Sunny had said, “I want people to stop smoking and live a happier, healthier life. Unfortunately, you can't force anybody but you can tell people not to smoke around them. Maybe if the government and restaurant owners say that they don't want smoke inside their buildings, then that would be the first step.”

Indian media too has applauded this campaign, with ZeeNews writing, “This unusual star-mix will not only enlighten the viewers but also tell them how smoking can causes cancer and is hazardous to health.”
