Socialite Tamara Ecclestone has claimed that her four-year-old daughter is "addicted" to supermarket shopping.

The 33-year-old heiress' four-year-old Sophia - who she has with husband Jay Rutland - may lead a lavish lifestyle, but the brunette beauty insists she still does a lot of ordinary, down-to-earth things with the youngster.

She said: "Fifi is not spoilt. She loves going on private jets, but she also takes the Tube and the bus.

"She's even been on the subway in New York.

"And she's addicted to Sainsbury's - when she comes with me, she loves sitting in the trolley, so I pile up all the food on top of her.

"I've taught her that she speaks to everyone exactly the same - whether that's the cleaner or a CEO.

"When she goes on play dates with other children, she shares all her toys.

"And after receiving all her birthday presents, we then decide which of her things she doesn't need and we give them to charity."

For her daughter's recent fourth birthday, Tamara took Sophia to upscale Japanese restaurant Benihana and she's proud the little girl has such sophisticated tastes.

She said: "I'm glad Fifi doesn't want McDonald's every lunchtime as it's so unhealthy.

"She tries everything, which makes me really proud.

"She loves Japanese food and ate prawns, egg-fried rice and mushroom soup on her birthday."

The 'Tamara's World' star also arranged an extravagant birthday party for her daughter and can't understand why she received "jealous" and "negative" comments on social media over the bash.

She explained to Closer magazine: "Seeing Fifi being so confident and having so much fun on her birthday was the best day of my life and I won't let anyone ruin that for me.

"People are just jealous and I really don't care about the negativity."
