UAE local bands get chance to make it big

Have you spent hours drumming and strumming to rock’s greatest anthems?

If you are an unsigned band with huge talent don’t miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime.

Less than three weeks left to get your demo in to be shortlisted to win an exclusive writing and recording session with hot indie rockers 'We Are Scientists' in a custom-built studio at Aloft London Excel.

The groundbreaking “Play & Stay at Aloft” contest will see the winning band write and record a new track.
“Play & Stay at Aloft” continues Aloft’s dedication to giving new talent a world stage to connect with audiences.

Bands are encouraged to submit demos for their chance to play a live gig in one of three Aloft hotels – Aloft Abu Dhabi, Aloft Brussels and Aloft London Excel.

The live performances will become each band’s final “audition” for the grand prize – a songwriting and recording session with 'We Are Scientists' at Aloft London Excel. 

'We Are Scientists' will judge the acts, choosing the band they most want to work with as the winner.

The winning band will spend 12 hours with We Are Scientists in a converted suite at Aloft London Excel writing and recording a brand-new track.

The track will then get its global debut in an exclusive live gig with We Are Scientists at Aloft London Excel on 1st November.

In a twist on the conventional recording process, fans will be able to interact with the winning band via a live stream on Facebook for the 12-hour session.

The band will be able to view suggestions and take inspiration from followers to help create the new single.

Entries to the competition close on 8th October 2012 with the gigs taking place in Abu Dhabi, Brussels and London throughout September and October.

The studio session and We Are Scientists’ exclusive gig is scheduled for 1st November 2012.
