Video: Robbie Williams' wife in labour

Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field has given birth to a baby boy.

The 40-year-old singer had spent the previous 24 hours documenting the labour process in the hospital with videos and quirky tweets.

Now, he has made another video to announce the news of their second child's arrival.

"So he's here!" the pop star said in a clip he posted to YouTube on Monday. "Its 3:10[pm] on Monday and we've been up for way over 24 hours now."

Williams has been providing fans with an online commentary from his wife's bedside before she gave birth to their second child.

The Angels star has posted a string of bizarre videos and pictures showing him in hospital with his wife Ayda Field, 35, including one showing her on a bed wearing high heels.

He tweeted: "When Ayda goes into labour she comes correct."

He also published videos showing them dancing in their hospital room.

Another video is titled 'A river runs through it', and appears to show a doctor preparing to break the waters of his actress wife. There's also footage of Field twerking.

In another photo, he smiles alongside his exhausted wife, lying in bed.

The former 'Take That' star and Ayda married in 2010 and live in Los Angeles. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Theodora Rose, in September 2012.

Robbie recently spoke about his desire to leave Southern California to raise their family in his native England.
