Prince William and Duchess Kate have named their new-born baby boy, George Alexander Louis, William's office said on Wednesday. The baby is Britain's third-in-line to the throne.
The couple's Kensington Palace office said Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to the 8 pound, 6 ounce (3.8 kilogram) baby boy at 4:24 p.m. Monday, triggering an impromptu party outside Buckingham Palace and in front of the hospital's private Lindo Wing.
William and Kate did not keep the world waiting to see the face of the baby for long. Just over 24hrs after giving birth the couple gave the first glimpse of the new Prince of Cambridge as they left the hospital.
