Govt of Dubai Media Office celebrates National Day, Expo 2020 win

The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) on Thursday organised a ceremony to mark the 42nd National Day of the UAE, which coincides with the victory of the UAE.'s win of World Expo 2020, in the presence of Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, and all GDMO employees.

In her speech, Al Marri touched on the value of the Union, the love in the hearts of the UAE people, their patriotism and how a young state was born and carefully guarded and developed to such heights.
 
She noted that the UAE's massive accomplishments today clearly prove to the world the country's worth as a strong competitor in the international arena, a country that does not accept but excellence and is not satisfied but with success as a goal and an end.

About UAE's win to host world Expo 2020 in Dubai, Al Marri said that attracting the largest and most prestigious exhibition in the world confirms the noble values entrenched in citizens by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and proves the value of positive energy, which His Highness has long urged the citizens to show as one of the most important reasons for victory and success, as well as the importance of self-confidence.

She expressed deep thanks and appreciation to all GDMO work teams for their invaluable role in supporting the campaign.

The ceremony also included a set of competitions which aimed to shed light on aspects of the UAE’s rich and authentic heritage.
