Fire spotted on vessel off Dubai's Palm Jumeirah

A shipping vessel seems to be on fire just off Dubai's The Palm Jumeirah, accordign to eyewitnesses.

It could not be confirmed if it is a dredger vessel involved in sucking sand from the seabed and pumping it to create the artificial islands, or a commercial or pleasure vessel.

Dubai Civil Defence has confirmed fire on board a vessel off Palm Jumeirah. It said that it not a passenger vessel, but a small craft.
