More than 9,000 children learned more about the significant role that the purebred Arabian horse plays in the culture and history of the UAE at the President of the UAE Cup Series exhibit held at ‘Summer in Abu Dhabi’, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi and the Emirates Equestrian Federation, in collaboration with Flash Entertainment and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, hosted this interactive educational booth for a period of six weeks.

Children of all nationalities, ranging from 3-14 years old, enjoyed the entertainment at the booth from colouring and drawing the Arabian horse to watching horse-themed movies and playing equestrian arcade games.

Along with the fun and games, the children learned about the Arabian horse facts featured within the booth.

“As part of Abu Dhabi Brand’s remit to protect and preserve the national identify of the Emirate, it is critical that we continually communicate the values of the UAE culture to the younger generation in a dyamic and engaging way. Creating this booth that has both entertained and educated children on an integral part of the UAE culture, the Arabian Horse, has been a rewarding and successful initiative”, said Reem Yousef Al Shemari, General Manager of the Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi.

Established in 1994 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to promote and celebrate the Arabian horse globally, the President of the UAE Cup Series was the first international purebred Arabian horse race series, and today is still considered the premier racing series for the breed.

“This year, thanks to the collaboration of our partners from the Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Etihad Airways, not only have we successfully showcased Abu Dhabi to an international audience at some of the world’s most prestigious race courses, but at home here in Abu Dhabi, we have also had the opportunity to further educate our local community on the significance of the purebred Arabian,” , said Taleb Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the Emirates Equestrian Federation. “In addition, the Corniche Galleria features an expansive photography exhibit showcasing the history of the purebred Arabian horse.”
