KBZF to pay for deportation of 200 inmates

Upon directives by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and on the occasion of the Eid Al Fitr, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KBZF) has pledged to cover the costs of the deportation of 200 inmates who served their terms at the UAE's correctional and punitive establishments in UAE but are unable to pay for return tickets to their countries.

The move is being co-ordinated with the Ministry of Interior to help the 200 inmates (nationals of 19 countries) who were sentenced to deportation upon serving their terms, to celebrate the first day of Eid Al Fitr with their families in their home countries.

All technical and administrative procedures were already taken by the foundation to implement the deportation in time.

Beneficiaries thanked the foundation of the move which they said speeds up their return to their homes where they are set to start a new life as good members of the community.
