Guess who is baking Britain's Queen Elizabeth's birthday cake? Nadiya Hussain.

The UK royal family asked the winner of the Great British Bake off to cook for the Queen's 90th birthday.

When Hussain won the BBC TV contest in November 2015, she became the show's first Muslim winner.

The 31-year-old baker, from Luton, excitedly revealed she has been given the honour as she returned to the panel on Loose Women.

Hussain would be serving an orange drizzle cake with orange curd and orange buttercream, instead of traditional fruit cake.

Revealing the news on ITV’s Loose Women, Hussain said the cake would be "very citrusy". She had considered doing a fruit cake but told the panel: "I thought 'Let's do something a little bit different'."

The mother of three said will personally deliver the cake to the Queen next Thursday on her 90th birthday at Windsor Castle’s Guildhall.

Nadiya impressed the nation with her winning showstopper on last year's GBBO - a cake called My Big Fat British Wedding Cake, decorated with pink flowers, navy clothes and gold and pearls.
