Billowing gowns, impossibly high heels, meter-long trains makes the task of walking down the red carpet at Cannes a really difficult job.

Czech beauty Petra Nemcova was a vision in a dazzling metallic gown with intricate pleated detailing at the 69th Film Festival.

The sweeping ball gown, designed by Safiyaa, boasted a pewter hue and delicate folds in the material which captured the light perfectly - providing a futuristic vibe to the ensemble.

But it all got a bit much for model at the premiere of 'Juliette' as she took a tumble while on the red carpet.

The 36-year-old model couldn't handle the mass of material who seemed to trip over one of the folds of her dress.

Rather than begrudge her moment of misfortune, the blonde beauty gracefully laughed off the incident and continued her sartorial crusade among her fellow models.

Showing off her slender limbs, the asymmetrical neckline of the dress acted to not only highlight her supermodel frame but also give the outfit a further edge.
