Enough has been said and written about anti-ageing secrets. From cosmetics to Botox to yoga, women have tried it all.

Now, the latest is – all you need is a daily shave!

Every time a man takes a shave, not only does he end up getting rid of his stubble but he also effectively ex-foliates by getting rid of the top layer of skin on his face, reports ‘Mirror’.

Dr Michael Prager, an expert in treating the signs of ageing, told MailOnline, that shaving is a form of microdermabrasion. “It encourages collagen production, which reduces wrinkles. Whenever there’s trauma to the skin, collagen is stimulated to help cell renewal."

Women have traditionally resorted to waxing because of the belief that shaving makes hair grow back thicker.

Dr Prager disagrees as he explains that cutting off hair above the root won’t cause any feedback to the follicle, which is the live part that produces the hair.
