Sharjah hikes cooking gas prices again

Prices of cooking gas cylinders in Sharjah has increased yet again.

The new price structure is applicable for a month beginning August 6. Small cylinders now comes at Dh57; Medium at Dh100 and  a large cylinder costs Dh228, according to a Sharjah Economic department release. This is an increase of Dh7, Dh14 and Dh28 for the respective sizes.

However, new cylinders are charged even more. A 11-kg cylinder costs anything between Dh310 and Dh325, say residents depending on the distribution centre.

Meanwhile, in Al Ain Adnoc stations sell cylinders for Dh35 to expatriates and charges Dh20 for Emiratis who possess family cards.
