Dubai Motor Festival draws to a close this weekend at Meydan, with more mesmerizing acts lined-up for motoring fans.

Rally driver Ken Block is all set for his spectacular performance this weekend along with the Dubai Grand Parade scheduled on Saturday, November 21, where the world’s most amazing cars, bikes and trucks will set off on a tour of the city from Motor Village. A motoring spectacle like no other, this is a must-see for petrol heads.

Alongside the Dubai Grand Parade will be the region’s first Marques d'Elegance competition, giving car owners from the GCC the opportunity to showcase their prized or unique motor vehicle, with judging taking place on Friday.

The Best Decorated National Day Car competition will award those who have shown their love for the UAE by decorating their cars in a highly creative way inspired by the National Day.

This year’s Dubai Motor Festival, which kicked off on November 10 under the tagline ‘Feel the Rush’, offered the ultimate motoring entertainment, with stunt driving, competitions, parades, and a huge range of cars on display, among others.

The specially designed Motor Village provided visitors with the best in motor experiences with amazing exhibits, competitions, entertainment and more. The family-friendly Motor Village offers something for every kind of motor fan, both young and old, from photo opportunities with an incredible mix of cars to adrenaline-packed high-octane action.

Brand and Lifestyle Zone

This zone will see a whole range of fun activities and displays – from the tricked out cars that take part in the Gumball 3000 race to AUH Racing drive simulators where visitors can test themselves against the computer. If you think you can last, then take part in Al Tayer’s Touch the Ford Truck contest, where the last man (or woman) standing will end up with a brand-new Ford Ranger truck.

Red Bull CarPark Drift

The Red Bull Car Park Drift Final returns to Dubai for the third year in a row, and will be held at Meydan under the umbrella of the Dubai Motor Festival. The adrenaline-packed high octane spectacle will see 16 contestants from across the region compete for the coveted “King of Drift” title after having qualified from their respective country qualifiers.

Ken Block

Over at the High Octane Zone, there will be thrills and spills galore, with the Ken Block Gymkhana Grid Showcase - where the world-renowned rally driver will pit his skills against a tricky obstacle range. A few lucky visitors will get a chance to experience Block’s racing ability for themselves, as they join Ken for a demonstration of his ‘drift’ driving skills. And it will be man against machine as he faces off against a drone in the Ken Block vs. Drones showcase.

High Octane Zone

If that’s not enough high octane action, there will be a series of AUH Race car rides where visitors will get driven around the track in high-speed performance cars. The best Emirati drivers will also be taking part in the Drift Taxi experience – don’t forget your seat belts! And if you prefer your action on two feet instead of four wheels, check out the amazing parkour athletes and their grafity-defying stunts in the Parkour Showcase.

The one-of-a-kind DMF 2015 will further cement Dubai’s position as a hub for world-class events and festivals.
