UAE markets to close on Jan.1

The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has announced that the financial markets nationwide will close on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, to mark the New Year.

Transactions will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

SCA took this opportunity to congratulate President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of Emirates, on the occasion.
