Mohammed holds talks with Mohamed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has honoured the graduates of the second intake of the National Defence College (NDC).

A graduation ceremony was held at the NDC campus in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mohammed also met with Gen. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Supreme Council of the National Defence College.

The meeting was held in Abu Dhabi on Sunday where they exchanged the fraternal talks.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Board,

Meanwhile, the graduation ceremony was attended Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development; Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and high ranking military officers.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid congratulated the graduates for choosing to join the NDC as the right way to senior leading positions where they will add to the UAE's civilisational achievements.

He also commended the NDC's high academic level and curricula and said the college was enabled to make this achievement by the unlimited support from, and personal follow-up by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Supreme Council of the National Defence College. Thanks to his support, Sheikh Mohammed added, the college is now one of the most prestigious strategic education institutions, both regionally and internationally, where citizens who join it graduate with a Masters degree.

Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Al Saadi, Commander of the NDC, delivered a speech in which he thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for his patronage of the ceremony.

Al Saadi said that Sheikh Mohammed's attendance reflects the keen interest of the wise leadership of the country in citizens and national institutions, as well as its wise vision and aspirations for advancing the UAE's global stature among developed nations.

The commander outlined the mission of the NDC as a pillar of quality military education and national strategies.

Al Saadi commended the unlimited support being extended by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the college.

Sheikh Mohamed's wise directives, he said, reflect his interest in preparing strategic planning and national security leaders to consolidate the pillars of the UAE's national security.

Al Saadi also congratulated the new graduates and thanked them for the efforts they made during the training courses.

He expressed his confidence that the graduates will ably shoulder their national responsibilities and enhance their capabilities to serve and protect the interests, security and gains of their homeland.
