'So I hear some people in India still eat with their hands' is what Oprah Winfrey said on her show Oprah's Next Chapter: India.

Oprah Winfrey has sparked outrage after the recent broadcast of a two-part TV special about her trip to India in January.

The talk show queen received flak on Twitter and her show was dubbed “myopic, unaware, ignorant, gauche” and “snobbish”.

The Indian media and international media also took offence and raised the topic stating that the comment was made "in poor light".
