11 men jailed, to be lashed for meeting girls in Saudi

A Saudi court sentenced 11 men to 10 months in prison and ordered them lashed 200 times in public after they were caught with girls inside a café in the Gulf Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested the men after raiding the café in the Western town of Taif, Okaz newspaper said.

The 11 were found guilty of violating laws banning mixed-gender meetings in public places after they were found not related to each other.
