Saudi health inspectors seized nearly 2,000 bad frozen chickens ready for distribution to restaurants during the fasting month of Ramadan.
‘Sada’ daily said the inspectors on a routine visit to food outlets in the Western town of Taif decided to search freezers transported by a company truck after sniffing foul smell.
“They found nearly 2,000 chickens which were unfit for human consumption. They were ready for distribution to restaurants for the iftar meal,” it said.
