4 quakes rock Indian capital Delhi in 3 hours

Residents of Indian capital city of Delhi woke up to tremors this morning.

Four earthquakes shook the region within a span of just three hours, reports local media.

The first quake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale occurred at 12.41 am [India time], and lasted for three to four seconds.The second quake, 3.3 in intensity, followed an hour later at 1.41 am and was felt in Delhi and its adjoining satellite towns of Noida and Ghaziabad, reported NDTV.

The last two quakes of 2.5 and 2.8 magnitude followed at 1.55 and 3.40 am respectively.

Residents took to Twitter to share their fear and shock.

No damages or casualties have been reported as yet.
