50 Asian workers saved from house fire

Saudi Arabia’s civil defence saved 50 Asian workers after they were trapped inside a house that was engulfed by fire caused by a cylinder gas blast.

Firemen battled the massive night blaze at a contracting company’s living quarters in the Northwestern town of Tabuk for more than hour while other units managed to evict the workers to safety, Ajel newspaper said.

“All workers were pulled out while the fire was controlled…there were no casualties in the incident,” the paper said.
