50% cut in RAK radar fines... for 5 months

Ras Al Khaimah has adopted a new system to reduce traffic fines, reported ‘Emarat Al Youm’.

This new initiative by the General Directorate of Ras Al Khaimah Police is as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

The discount includes only traffic fines regarding radar devices in Ras Al Khaimah and on different license plate numbers, said Major-General Ali Abdullah Alwan Al Naimi, General Commander, Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Traffic fines will be reduced by 50 per cent for five months, starting from July 1 until December 1, 2015, Maj-Gen. Al-Naimi said and added that this deadline for discount and settlement of fines will not be extended.

The fines regarding radars would be reduced based on the period of committing the traffic violation.
