59 people bitten by dogs, cats in Riyadh

Dogs and cats bit 59 people in the Saudi capital Riyadh in one month and all of them were hospitalised for treatment of rabies and other diseases.

Hospital sources said 35 cases involved dog bites while 24 other people were hospitalised for cat bites and scratches.

The figures published by ‘Sabq’ newspaper showed 11 victims were Saudis and 48 were expatriates.
