Aids victim donates blood to hospital

A Yemeni man suffering from Aids donated blood to a public hospital in Saudi Arabia, but doctors discovered he was diseased and informed the police, who arrested him, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The 46-year-old man looked pale, lean and tired when he went to the hospital in the western Saudi town of Makkah and told them he wanted to donate blood.

Doctors later discovered the blood was contaminated and informed the police, who raided the man’s house and arrested him.

“The hospital informed the police after the man kept ignoring calls to come back to hospital. When the police arrested him, he looked very ill and it turned out later that he knew he had Aids and deliberately donated blood,” Sabq Arabic language daily said, adding that  police intend deport him to Yemen. 
 

Kid accidentally kills 13-year old sister
 

A seven-year-old Saudi boy accidentally killed his sister, 13, while he was playing with his father’s unlicensed gun in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The boy was playing with his sister before he sneaked into his father’s room at their house in the southern town of Baha and brought his gun.

“He kept tampering with the loaded gun until it fired. The bullet struck his sister just under her left eye and pierced through her brain, killing her instantly,” Ajel daily said, quoting police spokesman Lt Colonel Saad Al Gamdi.
