The summer's peak travel season may be well and truly cashed in, but those hunting for a late bargain fare need not pack away those suitcases just yet.

Airlines such as Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia and Jet Airways have all announced special take off fares that can persuade the most laggard traveller into booking a ticket to return home or even pack in a late summer or even autumn vacation.

The Sharjah-based budget carrier Air Arabia is offering special August take off fares, with one-way travel to Mumbai available from Dh330, while New Delhi is up for grabs at Dh431.

Other Asian destinations are also on offer with the airline, with special fares to Kochi at Dh425, while Middle East destinations include Alexandria at Dh520, Jeddah at Dh668, among others.

For those who want to try something new this summer and get away from the sizzling heat, Emirates is offering travellers in the UAE special fares to a host of exciting destinations in Europe.

These fares are valid for booking until August 22, 2016, for outbound travel until December 14, 2016.

Holidaymakers can book return economy class airfares from Dubai to Vienna from Dh2,710; Athens and Larnaca from Dh2,940; and Prague from Dh3,020.

Other European gateway cities include Stockholm from Dh3,210; Barcelona from Dh3,950; Geneva from Dh3,970 and Madrid from Dh4,070.

The carrier says customers who book these fares also have a chance to fly the airline’s iconic A380 to Vienna, Prague, Barcelona, Geneva and Madrid.

Residents travelling from Abu Dhabi can also take advantage of the 'Amazing fares' with Etihad Airways, which is serving competitive fares across its economy and business classes, that need to be booked online before December 31, 2016, for travel by March 31, 2017.

While Etihad is offering Europe bargains, with Madrid at Dh3,285, Milan at Dh3,315 and Edinburgh at Dh3,555, Far East deals are also enticing for those looking for some exotic holiday time.

Etihad's return to Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City starts at Dh2,335; Phuket is Dh2,975 onwards; while Manila is from Dh2,275.

It's partner and Indian carrier Jet Airways is offering a flat 10 per cent discount on base fare across its economy and business class seats, for travel from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

This offer is available only on Jet Airways website and its mobile app, applicable on one way and return journeys.

Tickets must be purchased before August 4, 2016, and travel must commence and the entire journey must be completed on or before November 30, 2016.
