The Fujairah Appellant Court upheld the ruling of a Criminal Court, which sentenced SAS, a UAE national to 15 years in jail for attempting to kill three compatriots.

The defendant shot the victims with his gun. They sustained moderate and major injuries.

The Court of First Instance had sentenced the suspect previously to 15 years in jail and confiscated the weapon used in the crime, according to Gulf Today.

The case dates back to the time when the Dibba-Fujairah police station received information about the incident in the Al Ghoub, an area falling in the mountainous belt of Fujairah.

The police reached the spot and found the three victims with injuries in different parts of their body.

They were taken to a Dibba-Fujairah hospital.

After investigations the police came to know that a UAE national, known as SAS, was involved in the crime.

The police arrested the suspect and interrogated him. He confessed to the shooting at the victims due to personal disputes. He said that the three persons threw pebbles at his house.

The suspect was referred to the court. The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
