In the most shocking of accidents, a thick metal bar pierced through the head of a Chinese man, while he was dismantling property in Guangxi Province.

The one-inch metal bar entered the right side of his forehead and exited through the left side of his jaw, reported DailyMail.

The 50-year-old has survived the gruesome injury following a successful emergency surgery . He is expected to recover completely.

He was lucky as the bar missed his brain and eyeball, say medics.
