Bird strike leaves hole in plane while landing

An Air Namibia passenger flight collided with a bird causing significant damage to the aircraft while it was landing.

The aircraft, which was carrying 112 passengers, landed safely, reported Namibian.com

The airline spokesperson apologized to passengers as some of the departure times had to be revised following the incident.

Meanwhile, twitter images shared by a passenger shows a hole across the aircraft’s underbody panels.

The incident occurred as the A319-100 aircraft was landing at Hosea Kutaka International Airport.
