A boat caught fire this morning near The Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai Police has confirmed with Emirates 24|7.
An aerial photo taken by the Dubai Police Air Wing indicates that the vessel on fire is a yacht that is moored near the breakwater on The Palm Jebel Ali.
People on Twitter reported seeing a black plume of smoke in the direction of The Palm Jebel Ali around 8.15am. However, witnesses say the blaze has been brought under control.
No cause of the fire, or any sustained have been reported by the authorities.
