A mother gave natural birth to a baby. However, the doctors and the infant's parents realised instantly that there was something wrong as the baby did not have a nose. It is apparently a rare condition known as Complete arhinia which afflicts one child in a million.

The missing organ means Tessa Evans has no sense of smell but she's still able to cough and even catch a cold, says a media report.

The parents of the baby girl accepted the rare condition and the little one underwent her first surgery when she was barely eight days old. She was fitted with a tracheostomy so that she could breathe while eating and sleeping.

The brave little girl is 17 months old and waging a constant battle to remain healthy. However, Tessa does not let her condition affect her sunny personality or her constant smile.
