A young Romeo threatened to commit suicide after a failed bid to take hostages because his girlfriend for three years decided to end relationship and called him “brother”.
Wielding a gun brazenly in front of the girl’s office in Lahore, Pakistan, the young man created a scene for over an hour in front of the public which was telecast live on different Pakistani channels.
The young Romeo threatened to commit suicide because the girl and her father ended their 3-year affair and rejected his proposal to tie knot with the girl.
The love-affair developed because both the Romeo and Juliet were living in the same vicinity of Lahore.
When the boy reached girl’s office, she hid herself in the washroom and refused to see him. The disappointed Romeo then decided to resort to take extreme step, pulling out the gun and threatened to take few people hostages but failed. Then he put gun to his head and asked the girl to come out in open otherwise he’ll kill himself.
During all this live drama, Lahore Police also reached at the scene and tried to convince the young Romeo. After a marathon one-hour talks, one daring policeman grabbed the young man who fired a shot during the struggle to grab gun, but no one was hurt by this shot.
Then he was taken to the police station where an FIR was lodged against him for carrying gun, attempt to commit suicide and shooting in the air.
