Eight people have been taken to the hospital with apparently minor injuries after acoustic ceiling foam fell during a music exhibition in Washington, D.C.

Fire department Capt. Louis Carter tells The Washington Post that a combination of the construction and the vibrations from the music show may have caused the dust, debris and foam insulation to come down on the audience.

The band Black Alley was playing at the time during the event, titled "Go-Go Swing: Washington, D.C.'s Unstoppable Beat." The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities was holding the kickoff for the two-month exhibition on Friday night.
