Cemetery shut: 'No room'

A Yemeni cemetery was shut permanently after it became full and there was no room for any more bodies, newspapers reported on Wednesday.

The famous Jarallah Cemetery in the capital Sanaa had its entrance shut with a brick wall and a large board was installed at the game specifying reasons for the closure.

“The cemetery is now full.

“There is no more room for one single grave,” said the board, which was published in the Saudi daily ‘Sabq’ and Yemeni newspapers.

The report said the cemetery, one of the largest graveyards in Sanaa, became full because of the ongoing conflict.
